Dr Sujin Kim is a researcher and educator in career development at James Cook University, with expertise in the intersections of work, education, and policy.
Her work examines how labour market conditions, social context, and educational experiences shape career development and workforce transitions across the lifespan. Her research spans career pathways, labour mobility, precarious work, and career transitions, with a focus on generating evidence that can inform both policy and practice.
Alongside her research, she develops and teaches postgraduate subjects in career development, supporting the preparation of future practitioners in the field. Dr Kim has collaborated with scholars, universities, and industry partners on projects related to career guidance, workforce development, and lifelong learning.
